Expressions of Interest close 2 October, so if you are interested in joining or continuing on the Auckland Urban Design Panel, please review the information below and submit your application today.
The Auckland Urban Design Panel provides independent design review of significant private and public development proposals across Tāmaki Makaurau. Its primary purpose is to support Auckland Council in achieving high-quality design outcomes through early, cross-disciplinary review of major projects. AUDP members are drawn from a number of different built environment organisations, reflecting a broad range of professional expertise.
The Auckland Urban Design Panel Governance Board is undertaking a partial refresh of the Auckland Urban Design Panel (AUDP) member list this year and are now seeking Panel member applications for the 2027–2029 term. Auckland Council is not seeking to replace all existing panel members, and intends to maintain continuity to support consistency and institutional knowledge. However, all candidates, including current members, will still be required to participate in the nomination process.
Please see attached Request for Applications and Panel brochure and consider if you would like to either continue on the Panel or apply to be a new member. Each application must include a one-page CV for each member, along with an Expression of Interest statement outlining your relevant experience and reasons for seeking nomination to the role. You will need to send your application directly to Auckland Council at urbandesignpanel@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.
The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 11 September 2026. Panel members will be advised on the outcome of their application in mid-December and an induction session for new panel members held in January.
