A Walk and Talk event: Rolleston Avenue Cycleway

Join Gemma Dioni, Principal Transport Advisor from Christchurch City Council, for a walk-through of the temporary Rolleston Avenue cycleway improvements. Walk the route, hear the thinking, and wind down with food, drinks and good conversation at Abley (137 Victoria Street).

Gemma led the design and Council approval process for this five-year trial, which aims to make it safer and easier for people walking and cycling around the Canterbury Museum during its major redevelopment. She’ll share how the design came together, why certain materials were chosen, and how the layout has evolved.
