If you’re still making plans for 12.30-1.30pm today (Thursday 6 March) it’s not too late to join us online to listen to landscape architect and PhD student Nicki Williams introduce findings from her important research at Otago University into transport through the lenses of diverse women.
Drawing from in-depth interviews with 19 diverse women and 14 ‘transport system actors’ who either work in, or have influence on, the transport sector, this talk will challenge thinking around travel barriers as well as the response of built environment professionals to women’s neglected everyday travel needs. Bringing those needs into sight and into mind through considering access, dependence, support, safety and care work.
