free one day symposium following Imagining Decolonised Cities urban design competition

Imagining Decolonised Cities is holding a free one day symposium at Takapūwāhia marae, 23 Ngatitoa St, Porirua on Sat 13th May on the topic 'What is a decolonised city?'  This symposium comes at the end of our Imagining Decolonised Cities urban design competition currently open for submissions - see www.idcities.co.nz for more info.  

Speakers include Moana Jackson (lawyer), Patricia Grace (author), Rangi Kipa (artist), Lena Henry (urban planner), Jennie Smeaton (environmental management), Kevin O'Brien (architect), Kara Puketapu-Dentice (water resources/urban design) Alice Andrews (engineer)

This would be of interest to the public, Porirua community members, local iwi, built environment practitioners, academics, politicians.
